Do You Need a Permit To Open Carry?
- People who practice open carry need to know that a license is required to openly carry a loaded firearm. Once that firearm is not loaded, no license necessary. Open Carry is legal without a license, but to carry a handgun loaded in a vehicle one needs a concealed pistol license (CPL).
- People prohibited by law from carrying a firearm. Typical examples are felons, those convicted of a misdemeanor of domestic violence, those found to be addicted to alcohol or drugs, and those who have been involuntarily committed to a mental institution. These person are not only prohibited from open carry, but from ownership of guns period.
American Citizens Open Carry Fears
A
gun is a very fearful weapon and as such people who are seen with one
demand attention and may be seeing as quite intimidating to someone. In
recent times in America, there have been mass shootings, shootings in
schools, churches and just about anywhere where large groups of people
seem to congregate. The fear of seeing someone walking down the same
side of the road with guns strapped to the teeth is real and quite
fearful, especially if you have been the victim of gun attacks. It is
quite simple, guns are easy to use and even if not fired properly is
able to take the life of anyone who is in its way. But people who open
carry are the least of America's problems when it comes on to mass
shootings, robbery and killings. In-fact, if people were smart, they
would push to have all weapons being open carry. Lets take a good look
at the benefit of making open carry the standard of how we all should
carry our weapons instead of concealed.
Why the law should make every Gun Owner open carry
Serious
and deadly crimes are not being permitted by people who do lawful open
carry, but by people who have tucked in concealed weaponry.
It would be much safer for people to know who around them is in possession of a deadly weapon such as a gun. Not all people like to be near guns and a person who is anti-gun may not want to be in the same coffee shop or sitting near a person who has a gun. So open carry law will allow you to better know your environment.
Criminals hate when decent law abiding citizens carry guns. It simply gets into the way of them committing and escaping a criminal act. The fear of getting shot goes both ways.

Places Where Guns Should Be Disallowed (Open Carry or Concealed)
There are places which should be what is considered neutral grounds and no form of weaponry should be allowed on these premises by law. Places such as Schools, churches, Entertainment Parks. Unless we all the the gun as a utensil, such as a knife and fork and how subconscious minds stops being intimidated by such a weapon. It should be outlawed to have any weapon inside places mentioned above. The only exceptions should be for certain groups of people such as Government Security Officers (police), and official security details. We can't have our weapons trotting every single where we go especially where there is children and worship. This would also help to give parents a more secure feeling about hundreds of guns walking around school compounds by some well dressed individuals as well as some really shady characters.Open carry Prejudice
This ugly word seems as though it is here to stay. Yes, there is such a thing called open carry prejudice. Open carry prejudice is when Different class and race of people practice open carry and are met with different reactions from the same police officers who are called by scared citizens who have reported these gun carrying individual.Black Open Carry
- When you open carry as a black man, the police tend to be much more aggressive when they approach you. They even have been known to draw weapons upon approaching the lawful individual and have even unlawful disarmed the person while handcuffed and faced down on the floor.
- Well, we all know that white people do enjoy the constitutional rights better than the black people, no matter how much icing we put on the prejudice cake. When the police approach most open carry white individual, they are approached respectfully and respects the persons right to being white and bearing firearms.
- You can bet your last dollar that you will be tackled to the floor and probably arrested as a broke person carrying guns only have one intention. And that is to knock over the nearest liquor store.
- If you just stepped out of a nice car and jazzing a nice suite with a assault rifle strapped across your shoulders i can guarantee you that if the police do approach you, it will not be to wrestle you to the floor thinking you are going to knock off the liquor store.
The Right To Bear Arms
Everyone
has the right to self defense and the right to bare arms. Once you
abide by any stipulations set by the open carry laws within your state
you should not be harassed by any member of the security force unless
the have strong suspicion of inappropriate actions. All open carriers
should also be treated the same way. It should not matter if you open
carry while black, white, Asian or Latino. The law is written as one
accord and should be applied as one law across. Remember guns are not
bad, its the idiots behind them.
