Life is a very rare and precious thing, from the tiniest of ant to the Largest of Whales. Life is a precious gift, It’s a gift because it was given unto us by a much superior being. We have no control over what will happen in our lives and the lives around us. We educate ourselves from infantry to tertiary, following educational path set up by a society that try more to gain control and manipulate our mind and our lives, than to give us the real knowledge of life and existence and let us truly be free. Living our lives can be a joyous and breath taking experience, as well as it can be rigid, frustrating and suicidal thinking for others. Living here on earth is challenging, as we try to interact with other people with different and shocking emotions and reactions, people who may react negatively to other persons life situation. How we react to these circumstances makes all the difference in living a fulfilled and happy life.

• Physical Attributes of Life

When we are born, we are given standard physical attributes, attributes which sometimes determine the path we take in lives, attributes which most humans take for granted until it is no longer available. Attributes which we even worship once we have reached adulthood. When we are born naturally, we are blessed with one head, two eyes, two ears, one nose, two nostrils, two feet and two hands. We are blessed with internal organs working in good condition. Our physical life attributes determine a vast amount of things, for example; a steady hand and smart brain could make you a surgeon, a seven foot tall male with good ball skills may get a multi-million dollar basketball contract. The skinny beautiful girl may end up on the cover of a best selling fashion magazine, but suppose those attributes we all missing some basic yet necessary items, such as the model who is tall and beautiful but is speech impaired, or the basket ball star who lost vision in an eye. Their lives would not be the same as these lost attributes would force them to live a differently as they would have to adjust to this lost attribute.

• Financial Attributes of life

Whether you were born in riches, gained riches from a skill, luck or inheritance, you are given the opportunity to live a better “physical” life than those struggling to make two ends meet. Your opportunities are most time greater, your social friends may be of different circle. You may have even been blessed with so much financial success that you have peaked everything, there is no goal set, nothing worth achieving, unless you are a humanitarian. Money can build your life as well as it can rip it open like wild grizzly taking a swipe at a stuff teddy bear.

Over Coming The Odds

What does it take to beat the depression, the scariness, the constant failures, the jeers, the mockery and disabilities? It will take all the strength of self and loved ones, it will take commitment and drive to continue to beat all odds. It takes love,humbleness and humility to rise from the ashes like the phoenix and soar through the skies like a falcon. It will take prayer, prayer to believe that you are not carrying your burden alone and that a way is already being made for you.

Free Our Selves

We have to free our minds from a demanding world, a world where much is measured by appearance and financial status. A world where peer pressure is a new life characteristic. We need to understand that the things of man mean little, try to seek a higher level of knowledge of self and world.
No more will you be the broken glass which is scraped up off the floor and tossed away, but you will be transformed into a container. A container full of life and wisdom. a container that once is poured, the substance outflow is rich, refreshing and nourishing.

People Who Have Overcome the Odds

Nelson Mandela
Worked very hard to train as a lawyer, despite the South African apartheid system making this very difficult for a black man. Against the odds Nelson Mandela was able to practice law, helping many black South Africans to survive in the apartheid system. When Nelson Mandela was sent to jail for his opposition to apartheid in the 1960s, there seemed no end in sight to the all powerful apartheid system of South Africa. But against the odds, Mandela played a critical role in bringing about the end of apartheid and the first truly democratic elections.

Helen Keller
She became deaf blind before her second birthday. Regardless of having these disabilities, she learned to read and write, and became the first deaf blind person to gain a bachelor degree. She campaigned on issues of social welfare, women suffrage, disability rights and impressed many with her force of personality.

Beethoven
For a musician to lose his hearing is the greatest possible misfortune. Yet, despite the inevitable frustration, it didn’t stop Beethoven composing some of the most sublime pieces of music in the history of man.

Malala Yousafzai
A Pakistani schoolgirl who defied threats of the Taliban to campaign for the right to education. She was shot in the head by the Taliban but was able to survive and has become a global advocate for human rights, women’s rights and the right to education.

Jesse Owens
Despite experiencing racial discrimination in his native country, the US. Owens became a global icon at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. By winning Olympic gold in the 100m, Owens helped demolish the myth of Hitler’s Aryan superiority theory.
