    Adam and Eve's Son Seth

    In The Beginning.....

The book of Genesis tells us of how the christian God created the earth and all the wonders there of. It tells us that God created Adam, the first man. It is said that Adam was lonely and needed a companion of his own kind. So God simply gave him a woman, which comes from a part of Adam's rib cage. The creation of woman is very important and i will speak on this in my next article titled, The Rib of Man Cannot Lead Man. Adam and his companion Eve lived happily in the garden of Eden, they explored, swam with ducks, chat with parrots, ate grapes and bathed in crystal clear rivers. Life was good in the garden until God allowed Satan inside the garden. Yes, God did allow Satan in the garden, how else would he have gotten inside a place of divinity if not allowed by the divine one himself. You see, many times we read things but no one ask the logical questions or are just too scared to ask. But let me divert a little bit inside the garden of Eden.

Eden was a special place created by God for his beloved man Adam. It was filled of nothing but goodness. Adam spoke regularly with God and God even allowed him to name all the beast of the land, air and sea. God is divine, all seeing, all powerful, the Garden of Eden was under his watch, yet slithering Satan managed to slip by God's divine eye, eventually corrupting Adam and Eve. Satan cannot enter any place under God's watch without being given authority to go. So God sent Satan as an Angel, (not a snake) to pay visit to Adam. Angels would visit the garden from time to time, but the Bible chooses to omit these facts. So a Visit from the Angel Satan was nothing new, but the last visit saw Satan overwhelmed with jealousy because of God's love for mankind. The Devil then placed his hand of knowledge upon the forehead of Eve who then came to see. She went forth for her husband who she also wanted him to see, then the devil placed his hand upon his forehead and Adam came to see.
They now saw the nakedness of themselves, they now saw the dangers of the wild animals and they now knew what fear and shame was. They were simply given awareness. God did not command this and so Satan was banished from heaven and Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden.. They went out to work the land for their needs, have children, grow old and eventually die.

    Adam and Eve's Children

After God got upset with them and banished them from the Garden, they went out in the world to start their new lives. Adam got many sons, but the bible is centered around Cain and Abel. Cain and Abel has their own little story going on. The Bible speaks about Cain and Abel marrying their sisters. What? where else would they had gotten wives? Adam and Eve lived for many years and produced many off springs. Abel was favored by God for his goodness. Cain got jealous and did what many jealous people did. He killed his brother. One would wonder why someone favored by God is always allowed to suffer and die, but as they say, he works in very mysterious ways. God did not like what Cain did to Able and condemned Cain and all his off springs to live a live of hardship and suffering. But aside from the popular duo of Cain and Abel, there was Adam's mysterious son called Seth. Eve believed that God had appointed him as a replacement for Abel and named him Seth, which means “set in place of". But what really strikes me is a particular verse in the Bible. In Genesis 5 verse 3, it says "When Adam had lived 130 years, he fathered a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth". Could this mean that his other sons and daughters were not of Adam? Was Cain and Abel fathered by a different man or species? Or does it mean Seth simply looked and acted just like Adam? Was he of a darker complexion as Adam? Who knows, but anything the Bible mentions is worth an investigation.

    Seth

Seth, Seth, Seth, The name sounds a bit evil doesn't it. If you never knew that he was the son of Adam, one would believe that he was actually the son of the devil himself, they do actually have a thing going for them. Satan Seth, Seth Satan. Seth could actually make a pretty good first name for Satan. But aside from my rambling, Seth got a son and he was called Enoch. It is said that through him, men began to call upon the name of the Lord. It is believed that through Seth's bloodline, corporate worship of the one true God began to enter the fallen world.

While Cain's descendants did not fall far from the tree, Seth's prove to God over and over again that they were faithful. It is also said that through Seth's bloodline, came the nation of Israel and Christ himself. Seth is also mentioned in other works, including the, the pseudepigraphical works, such as the Ascension of Isaiah, Jubilees, and the Life of Adam and Eve. Seth is widely mentioned in some of the Gnostic texts, e.g., the Gospel of the Egyptians and the Second Treatise of the Great Seth.

So why do people seem to have it locked in their heads about the evil Cain did to Abel and choose to forget the great works of Seth and his generation? The Egyptians had a place for Seth as depicted in many of their writings, but in christian Sunday schools all they teach is the killing of Abel by Cain. The book of genesis has many hidden scriptures kept on strong security. The truth is sheltered and filtered simply for the pleasure of people.
